Hi Ania,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love how you are budgeting for a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!
It sounds like you have a question about
Disney gift cards. There are several possibilities, but I will try to cover the basics. Yes, you can certainly purchase Disney gift cards if not booking your trip through the Walt Disney World website. We use Disney gift cards for all sorts of gifts in addition to food. You can use Disney gift cards in the theme parks and resort hotels. Most stores at Disney Springs will also accept Disney gift cards although some third party retailers do not so just ask before making your purchases.
If you are planning to visit during the Epcot Food & Wine Festival,
special wearable gift card designs have become popular. These are a great way to stick to a budget during the festival! Recently, we also learned about a special offer for guests at select non-Walt Disney World resort hotels. Guests at these hotels can get a quick-service dining card with their hotel package.
I spoke with Haley Beth in guest services who gave me information on the the Disney Quick-Service Dine Card Add-on for guests staying at select non-Disney World Resort hotels. The travel window is currently through the end of 2018. The most exciting bit of information I learned was that the length of the dine card does not have to match the length of your stay and, with the dine card, you get more value for the amount you pay. The card is valid at participating restaurants, so just be sure to check with each restaurant when you arrive.
Ania, you can call 407-939-5277 to get more info and to purchase!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
