Can you take food in to Disneyland park?

Greetings, Vanessa, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s great to see you hEAR again!  Your Disneyland Resort vacation is almost hEAR, and I couldn’t be more excited for you!

Yes, you are more than welcome to bring food and drinks into the Disneyland Resort theme parks! There are just a few rules to be aware of as you pack up your goodies. First, according to the Disneyland Resort Rules, coolers can’t exceed 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high. Also, loose and dry ice aren’t allowed inside coolers, so I recommend packing a re-usable ice pack to keep food and drinks cold. Also, alcoholic beverages and glass containers aren’t allowed inside the theme parks.

If you plan on packing more than just snacks, I recommend heading to the Picnic Area, located just outside the Disneyland Park Main Entrance, for a comfortable, shaded spot to enjoy your meal. Plus, there’s also a handy Locker Rental nearby where you can store your cooler or bag. Another helpful trick is to ask for a complimentary cup of ice water from any quick-service dining location – this way you can avoid lugging around heavy water bottles all day.

As the mom of three little Mouseketeers, I always pack extra snacks to have on hand. I like to pack granola bars, food pouches, fruit snacks, chips, and crackers. My children are obsessed with the Goofy’s Candy Co. Character Gummies, so I usually pick up several packs to have on hand to avoid tantrums!

I hope this helps, Vanessa. Please feel free to stop back with any last-minute questions before your Disneyland Resort adventures begin!

    See ya’ real soon!
