Are food, beverages, snacks, etc. covered on the on-land activities? If not, do we bring cash or can we charge everything? I am going on the Dream Cruise so specifically asking about the Castaway Cay and Nassau / Atlantis outings.

    Welcome back to planDisney, Mary!

Oh, the Disney Dream is one of my all-time favorite ships at sea. You are going to smile from the moment you step onboard to the moment you leave. She's a beauty!

First, let's talk about Disney Castaway Cay. Every perk you'll enjoy onboard will be included in your day at this Bahamian paradise. You'll find a delicious BBQ lunch, fountain drinks, and soft serve ice cream that always tastes so much more refreshing on this island than at home. In fact, you'll see some of your favorite Cast Members from the Dream creating and serving your delicious meals and drinks on the island. Purchasing adult beverages or some great Castaway Cay souvenirs while on the island? Just charge those Castaway Cay purchases to your stateroom account using your Key to the World Card or MagicBand+.

My family has taken an Atlantis excursion from a Disney ship many times--in fact, that was our son's first beach and first ocean experience! Your visit here will be a bit different than Castaway Cay, though, as what's included depends on the Port Adventure you've booked. When we visit Nassau, we always bring a credit card or cash as there are so many wonderful things to pick up as souvenirs and snacks/sips to try while exploring venues that are not operated by Disney Cruise Line. Since the Nassau Cruise Port has opened their absolutely beautiful shopping and dining boutiques right on the waterfront as guests leave/enter the ship, we make it a point to allow an hour or so to scour these shops for the perfect items to bring home. Island-made chocolates and hot sauces? Check. Handcrafted wood decor? Got it. Christmas tree ornaments to commemorate your visit? Yes. So many choices!

Mary, as you plan for your most magical voyage on the Disney Dream, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
