This is a followup question. I understand that my child is 2 during their entire stay even though they turn 3 during the stay. So no need for meal plan or ticket. What do I say when I enter the park and I'm asked is your child under 3?

    Hi Timothy,

We have celebrated more than one of our children's 3rd birthdays at Walt Disney World.  It's such a magical age, and it's great that you get to take advantage of the fact that they are still FREE!

Honestly, I can't imagine a cast member asking you the age of your child.  I've never been questioned about that.  If so, just tell the truth, say your child was 2 at the start of the vacation, and we're celebrating her 3rd birthday today.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
