Hi. I have a follow-up question regarding my side-by-side cruises at Port Everglades. If I drive myself and park for the first cruise, what are the specific procedures or information regarding transfers between terminals? Disney Dream & Destiny

    Ahoy there, Vanessa!

Welcome back to planDisney! I’m so excited for your upcoming side-by-side sailing from Port Everglades. Sailing on both the Dream and the Destiny in the same week? That’s not just a cruise—it’s a double-feature, back-to-back blockbuster adventure worthy of its own Disney+ mini-series!

First things first, keep an eye out toward the end of your first sailing for disembarkation instructions from Guest Services. These will include the latest details about side-by-side transfers, including when and where to meet your fellow double-cruisers for a smooth handoff between ships. The process can vary depending on port operations and the day's logistics, so make sure to follow the most current guidance onboard.

Since you’ll be driving to the port, parking at the terminal for your first sailing and then moving your vehicle to the next terminal after disembarking is usually your most straightforward option. Now, here’s a little magic I’ve seen happen before—when the Cast Member escorts your side-by-side group, don’t be shy about asking if you can load your luggage (after you clear U.S. Customs) onto the Disney transportation heading to the next terminal. That little bit of pixie dust might just save you the trouble of dragging your bags back and forth. While I can’t guarantee it, it never hurts to ask. Sometimes Disney magic comes when you least expect it!

I know you're cruising with your son, but just for completeness, here are two additional options I’ve seen work for other Guests:

    • Option 1: Drop off your luggage and crew at the terminal for the first cruise, then drive and park at your second terminal and rideshare back solo. It’s a little extra effort upfront but makes disembarkation from the second cruise easier.

    • Option 2: Park at your first terminal, take Disney Cruise Line-provided transportation to the next terminal after Cruise #1, and when Cruise #2 is over, one person rideshares back to grab the car and picks up the rest of the crew.

My biggest piece of advice? Keep those communication lines open with Guest Services and the Cast Member escorting your transfer group. They truly want to make your transition as seamless as possible—and if there’s a hidden Mickey route to make it easier, they’ll know it.

I hope this helps as you plan your Dream (and Destiny!) adventure. Sailing side-by-side gives you twice the memories, double the magic, and two full sets of server team farewells—so get your cameras and tissues ready.

Sea ya real soon with a June full of sun, sea, and shipshape adventures,
    Dustin
