A follow-up question for Kari regarding resorts to stay at after our trip to Aulani. There are 5 of us (4 adults and a young teen) and we'd like to stay for 2 or 3 nights on Maui or Kauai after leaving Oahu. Would love to find a resort thru RCI. Ideas?

Howdy again Jill!  Thanks so much for the follow up question!!

I believe at the current time you have two options and they are both on Kauai.  There is the Pono Kai Resort and the Lawai Beach Resort.

I encourage you to make sure that you find the best resort for your family, but based on my research, I think the Lawai Beach Resort might be a great choice.  Parts of the Resort are being renovated so the availability may be limited.

Lawai Beach Resort has two bedroom units that sleep up to 6 and all units have full kitchens.  The Resort also has a hot tub, arcade, 3 swimming pools, fitness center and billiards.

It is located steps away from one of Kauai's best beaches for snorkeling, surfing and whale watching.

I reviewed several websites that provides reviews of various resorts and the majority of the reviews were very favorable.

Please keep me updated as I live vicariously through you on your tropical vacation.  If you need any further details, please let me know.  Aloha!!
