Ahoy, Ariel!
Welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for cruising on over to see us again as you prepare to set sail on your Disney Cruise Line vacation. I bet you can’t wait to make magical memories at sea with Mickey and friends!
Ariel, before setting sail, I always like to take one final glance at the
list of prohibited and restricted items as I finish packing. While it can be a
bibbidi-bobbidi-bummer to see an item you were hoping to bring with you on the list, the safety and security of Guests is a top priority. If something is confiscated during embarkation, you should be able to retrieve it after you disembark, following the directions provided in the notice you'll receive with your luggage.
As my panelist pal Adrianna shared, luggage delivery to your stateroom will likely be delayed if you attempt to bring items onboard that are on the prohibited and restricted list. To help ensure a smooth embarkation experience, I recommend leaving any prohibited items at home if possible.
Speaking of luggage, don’t forget to pack any
required travel documentation, including your proof of citizenship, in a carry-on bag when boarding the ship. Your checked luggage will be delivered to your stateroom later in the day, so you should pack anything you need for embarkation and the first few hours of your cruise in your carry-on. This includes your bathing suit and sunscreen if you’re planning to head straight to the
pool deck for a
SPLASH-tacular start to your vacation!
I hope this information helps, Ariel, and that you have a wonderful cruise! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we’re all ears!
SEA ya real soon!
