Is the following still in effect, or has the rules changed since 2018? A Florida resident can buy tickets for family out of state however, they have to be thre when the are picked up then they can leave.

    Greetings, fellow Floridian Dana!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel? Don’t you love living so close to the Magic? I love that we are a quick drive from all of the fun Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. Unfortunately, while we can share our love of the Mouse with out-of-state family and friends, we cannot share our discount!

There is one caveat, a Florida resident can purchase discounted tickets for minor (<18) friends and family. You can buy the tickets in person or online, and if you purchase the passes online, you can also verify your residency there. When they want to activate the tickets, since you are the purchaser, you will need to be present. After the passes are activated, they are free to enter the Parks without you (if they are younger than 14, they will need an accompanying adult).

Dana, I’m sure you’ve seen the commercials highlighting all of the exciting happenings at the Parks. I suggest you join your out-of-town Guests to experience the Planet of Batuu and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway! We’re headed up for Spring Break, and I can’t wait!

    ChEARs!
