Hi there I just want to follow up on the reservation name question. If I have A ticket for someone and they can’t make it can I give it to someone else?

Hey there, hi there, Mauricio! Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you’ve got the important job of holding onto and managing those Disneyland tickets! I totally get it—as a SoCal resident, I’m usually the trip planner for my friends and family who come to visit from out of town.

I actually recently had to transfer a ticket myself, and the good news is that it was easier than finding a Hidden Mickey! The quickest way to do this is to give a friendly Cast Member a call using the phone number designated for ticket support. They’ll be able to get the name swapped in a flash!

Once the name is all set, your pal can add that ticket to their Disneyland app for a convenient way to enter the parks. All they’ll have to do is open the app, tap the menu (three-lined) button at the bottom right, and tap “My Tickets & Passes”. They’ll then tap the blue plus (+) sign at the top right, followed by “Link Tickets & Passes”.

There are two options for linking the pass from this step: by camera or by typing the ID. If the recipient is nearby, they can tap the "Camera" tab and scan away—it’s like magic! If they're miles away (maybe already dreaming of Disneyland churros!), they can type in the ticket ID on the "Type ID" tab, click "Link Media", and poof—they're practically ready to ride Pirates of the Caribbean! But don't forget to make a park reservation first!

With your tickets all sorted, it's time to start planning your adventure! If you're looking to save some time in line, I highly recommend checking out the Lightning Lane passes. These are a fantastic way to experience more attractions and spend less time waiting. I find Lightning Lane Multi Pass especially helpful for some of my favorite rides, like Indiana Jones Adventure and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. I’d also encourage you to check out another Multi Pass-eligible attraction—Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! It just recently opened in the reimagined Bayou Country at Disneyland Park, and it is B-E-A-UTIFUL! I’ll bet you’ll be humming “Special Spice”, that catchy new song from the ride, all day long!

If you have any more questions as you plan your trip, Mauricio, don't hesitate to come back and see us here at planDisney! We're always here to help—even if that means making snack recommendations!
