Hi again, Casey! Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your follow-up question!
The reason why children who turn 3 years old at the Disneyland Resort don't require a ticket when they are part of a
vacation package is because the child's age is provided when the package is booked. This enables the Disneyland Resort to verify that the child is indeed under 3 years old at the start of the vacation. For reservations booked through the
Disney Vacation Club, it is my understanding that ages aren't supplied as part of the booking process. Therefore, the rule about separately-purchased tickets would still apply - your child would require a ticket the day he turns 3 and for all subsequent days.
I know your son is going to have a blast at the parks! My daughter is just a little bit older, but has been going to the parks since she was a toddler. She can recall with great detail some of her favorite memories about past trips. She loves to tell people all about the different characters she can spot on
"it's a small world" and already knows exactly how to make the tea cups on Mad Tea Party spin really fast. Taking your child to the Happiest Place on Earth means making joyous family memories that will last a lifetime.
Please return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you may have!
