    Follow up question for Derek, thanks for the info about to-go non-soda drinks. Wondering if you know if they have the non-refrigerated type milks? also if they have rice or almond milks to go, my husband is lactose intolerant. thanks!

    That's an awesome question....and you'll be happy to know that I have an awesome answer to give you.

    The culinary team at Walt Disney World has been regarded as being the best in the travel industry when it comes to accommodating dietary intolerances and allergies. As such, their cast members are well trained in how to help guests navigate menu options. In some cases, they will even customize dishes to accommodate those dietary intolerances and allergies!

    (My niece has a nut allergy, so I've experienced their wonderful level of care on a first-hand basis!)

    As far as the alternative milk products, I'm happy to say that they are widely available around Walt Disney World. My suggestion would be to contact the Special Diets Team so they can give you the most up-to-date list of special dietary information as well as locations where these products can be found. Their e-mail address is:

    Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

    Even though your husband is lactose intolerant, that doesn't mean he'll have to sit on the sidelines while the rest of the family enjoys an afternoon ice cream break. Many of the locations on property that serve hand-scooped ice cream also offer soy or rice ice cream as an alternative!
