    Hello folks, Can someone please let us know if the Captain's Grill at the Beach & Yacht Club resort will be taking reservations while they begin refurbishments starting in mid May? I have tried to make reservation on-line with no luck!

    Hi Kristi! The Captain's Grill at the Disney Yacht Club Resort is one of my favorite spots to eat during our stays at Walt Disney World. I consider it a hidden gem as many guests are not as aware of this restaurant as other locations. For a few years it was closed so I think guests don't think of it as much but many of the locals and cast members can be found enjoying business lunches there.

    This restaurant is indeed going to be going under refurbishment later this spring. I talked with a cast member there this morning and it will be closed during much of that time. There is thought that they might run it out of Ariels which is a closed restaurant location in the Beach Club but that decision won't be made for a while. Under the circumstances I suggest you find an alternative dining location and book that reservation. You can continually check on the status of the Captain's Grill but you at least have something definite.

    If you are able to go and find yourself there at lunch please try the great lobster rolls. They are full of lobster meat and not fillers like so many places do. Just thinking about it makes me crave one today and glad I will have that chance in March when I head back down to Disney.
