Tiffany from NL Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Hi folks. This September will be our first time attending MNSSHP. I am wondering what time we can enter the park that evening? Can I make fastpass selections for that evening? It looks as if no fastpasses are allowed after 6.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tiffany! Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is my favorite way to spend the fall season, right behind Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival. I like to begin my party with a 7pm ride on The Haunted Mansion, since those grim grinning ghosts are out to socialize!

In the late, late afternoon, you’ll see Cast Members just past the touch points in festive Halloween costumes, complete with bat headbands and carrying wads of party bracelets in their hands. When you see them, your party ticket will allow you to enter. This year, guests are lining up in the rightmost touchpoint aisles, entering at that point to enjoy Magic Kingdom as it shifts formally to a party atmosphere at 7pm. You’re correct that most restaurants, FastPass+ reservations and even some attractions will close down at 6pm. This allows Cast Members to flip them into trick or treating venues (such as the Riverboat stop) or places to purchase Halloween goodies like limited-edition cupcakes and candies (Gaston’s Tavern).  The nice part is that you won’t need FastPass+ selections during the party because lines are typically at a minimum, and easy to pass through on your way to meet Sandy Claws or to view the Happy Hallowishes Fireworks show (don’t miss this, it’s truly amazing).

I hope you have a spooky good time at the party this year, and don’t forget to bring your death certificate. Constance will be sure to want to see it! ~ Lindsey P.
