Hi Carrie!
Welcome to planDisney. I'm happy to help with your question today, and seeing as you are heading into the parks this morning, let's jump right into it!
I just looked through the
property rules for the Disneyland Resort, and folding chairs are not permitted in the theme parks or Downtown Disney. I'm sorry, that's likely not the news you were hoping to hear! Guests are welcome to use cane chairs or other
wheeled mobility devices, such as ECVs and wheelchairs. A few things to note here are that the mobility devices must be single-rider and not exceed 36" in width and 52" in length. Additionally, devices with fewer than 3 wheels that cannot stand on their own are prohibited. ECVs and wheelchairs are also available for rent at the Stroller Shop just outside the Disneyland Park Main Entrance Gate. These are first-come, first-served, so I recommend heading there first thing in the morning if you're interested in securing one for the day.
Carrie, I know that was a lot of information, but I hope it's helpful as you put those finishing touches on your planning for your day at the Happiest Place on Earth. There are plenty of spots throughout the parks to take a break and rest your feet for a few minutes. Sometimes, these make for the most magical memories as you get to just sit and soak in the sights and sounds of the parks. My favorite spot for a quick break is between the Matterhorn and "it's a small world" at Disneyland Park. There is a bridge just behind
Edelweiss Snacks that's a bit out of the way, covered, and over water. It's never been too crowded and lets you step out of the hustle and bustle without leaving the park. And if you need a snack, I highly recommend the Cheesy Garlic Pretzel!
I hope it's smooth sailing for you today, Carrie! If you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at
planDisney.
Magic awaits!
Tara
