Hiya Susan,
Welcome back to planDisney! As the mom to a little princess, I have spent a lot of time thinking about strollers. If my legs get sore and I’m an adult, I know it has to be twice as much for a little Mouseketeer’s tiny legs. Once you find a stroller or wagon that works best for your family, it can be hard to consider anything else.
Unfortunately, Susan, according to the
Walt Disney World Resort Property rules, wagons (even foldable ones or those marketed as stroller wagons) are prohibited at Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, water parks, and other indoor venues. One of my friends with children similar in age to yours always finds that
renting a double stroller from Guest Services is a great alternative. When her older child prefers to walk, she uses the extra seat to store her bags, and when her daughter’s legs inevitably need a rest, the space is right there waiting for her.
I’m sorry I couldn’t give you better news, Susan. Before I let you go, if you do decide to rent a stroller from Guest Services or ScooterBug, Disney’s Featured Provider, make sure to pack some ribbon, signage, or a unique way to identify your stroller. We have a sign that we put on ours, and it comes in handy when you are trying to easily spot your stroller amongst the sea of other nearly identical ones. Be sure to check out planDisney’s series on visiting Walt Disney World Resort with littles, especially if this is your first time taking yours to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Please come back and see
us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
