fMy family of 4 will be arriving in WDW on 3/23/17, with a 7-day park ticket, with PH option. We are now planning another trip for 8/2/17, and plan to need 5-day park ticket, also with PH. Should I upgrade to an annual pass? Wondering if it would save $

    Hi Shelley,

Anytime you plan at least two Walt Disney World visits in a year, I think it's wise to do a little math and consider whether an annual pass might make sense for your family. I don't know the specifics of your reservation (whether you booked a package or bought your tickets separately) but it looks to me as if upgrading to an annual pass could save you more than $200 per person.

In addition to the ticket savings, as an annual passholder, you would be eligible for a number of discounts and benefits, including free parking, resort discounts and many more. That includes the Walt Disney World 45th Anniversary celebration discounts for food and merchandise available to passholders through September 30, 2017.

I love the flexibility and convenience of an annual pass, Shelley, and I think your family would, too. I suggest you visit a ticket window or Guest Relations location when you arrive for your March vacation. They will be able to give you exact pricing and help you with the upgrade.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please let us know if you have any other questions about the benefit of a Walt Disney World annual pass. We're alway here to help.

    Enjoy,
