Flying in to WDW at 11/26/12 at 2 am, and staying at the Polynesian. If our room isn't ready early - is there anything to do at WDW from 2 am until MK opens at 9 am??? Thanks

    Hi there, Lori!

Walt Disney World Resort, like most vacation paradises, does offer some options for the all-night traveler. Bear in mind, though, that most of the action tends to happen prior to 2:00 AM, so while there are a few things to do, your best bet is to anticipate some downtime until later in the morning.

Believe it or not, the pool at Disney's Polynesian Resort is open 24 hours. The slide is closed and there is no lifeguard on duty during the off-hours, but you are welcome to enjoy a dip in the heated water.

And if you need a quick snack, head over to Captain Cook's, also in the Polynesian, for a delicious treat. You can even get a jump on the day by ordering a delicious Dole Whip!

The lobby is always populated, and it's a lovely place to sit and read.

Without knowing if you'll have a car, I'm reluctant to offer suggestions that would require you to leave the Polynesian. Disney transportation will be largely offline by 2:00 AM. and cab fares can start to add up quickly.  But options, while limited, do exist.

    Have a wonderful trip!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
