I will be flying into Tampa Airport, what are my options when trying to get to my Disney resort hotel? Are there bus shuttles similar to Magical Express or is it best to rent a car? Thank you.

    Hi Kristin!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You have a few transportation options to get you to Walt Disney World Resort from Tampa International Airport.

As you mentioned, your best option to get to Walt Disney World Resort is probably to rent a car. The trip from Tampa International Airport to Walt Disney World Resort is about 80 miles. It's a pretty straight-forward route and is a quick hour and a half drive. You could also take a taxi, but this would not be your most economical option. Finally, I did a quick internet search, which did turn up some shuttle options operated by private companies, so you can look into those and see if that's what you are looking for.

I have one other option for you. Because you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can still take advantage of Disney's Magical Express even though you are not flying into Orlando International Airport. You would have to make your way via rental car, shuttle or taxi from Tampa International Airport to Orlando International Airport. Once you arrive at Orlando International Airport, you can board Disney's Magical Express to your Resort hotel. This may not  be the quickest option, but I wanted to let you know that Disney's Magical Express is still available to you.

I hope this helps with your planning, Kristin.

    Wishing you a magical trip!
