We are flying Southwest. Can we use the Airline check in at the resort for our departure?

Hi Melissa! Yes you can use Southwest Airlines to check your bags on your return. This can be done at any Disney resort with the exception of Caribbean Beach, Swan, Dolphin, Shades of Green, and any of the Downtown Disney resorts.

Since Southwest uses a unique seating assignment passengers can get their boarding numbers up to 24 hours in advance.  If you pre-register for the resort airline check-in you will not have to do this yourself as at 24 hours in advance the system will automatically assign the boarding group for these pre-registered guests.  Of course this does not guarantee an "A" group. Many like to do this themselves which is fine if you have access to a computer.  You will still be able to take your luggage down to the location and check the bags at least three hours prior to your flight time from 5:00am-1:00pm daily. Hope this isn't too confusing....Southwest does things slightly different from other airlines but it does seem to be efficient for both passengers and employees!
