We are flying into the Sanford International Airport so we can't get the Disney shuttle, so we are renting a car, even though we are staying on Disney, how far is that airport from Disney and is parking included at our resort? Caribean Beach Resort? Thks

    Hi Karen,

We stayed the Caribbean Beach Resort in October and loved it!

The Orlando Sanford International Airport is approximately 45 miles from Walt Disney World.  Once you've picked up your rental car, its a quick jump over to I-4 West.  The exits for Disney World are clearly marked on I-4.  I'm sure that they will give you directions to I-4 West when you pick up your car but just in case you want to look up directions on the internet before, the address for Orlando Sanford International Airport is 1200 Red Cleveland Blvd, Sanford, FL 32773 and the address for Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is 900 Cayman Way, Lake Buena Vista, FL  32830.

You should be able to make it from the airport to the Caribbean Beach Resort in just under an hour.  If you are going to be heading through Orlando during morning or evening rush hour, that will certainly add to your travel time.

You will not have to pay to park at your resort.  Upon check-in, they will give you a Parking Permit that you should keep displayed on your dash during your visit.

If you elect to drive to any to any of the theme parks instead of taking Disney transportation, you will not have to pay the parking fee.  Simply show the Cast Member at the Parking Plaza your Disney Resort Parking Permit and you'll be good to go.

Wishing you many magical memories :-)  Allison
