Hiya, Tracy! I am thrilled to welcome you to planDisney and am so glad you flew by with this question. Time to set your sights on the second star to the right, and away we
goooooo!Just about an hour away from
Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando Sanford Airport is a great choice for your vacation.
While there is no official Disney shuttle from the airport, you have a few options for transportation to the Most Magical Place on Earth. I think the easiest one is using a private rideshare service, like Lyft or Uber. Cars and drivers are usually readily available, and they will take you directly to your desired location.
You can also look into a private, scheduled transportation service, such as Mears, Orlando Sun Transportation, or Away We Go Transportation. You can find these companies online and see if any offer the right solution to whisk you to Walt Disney World.
You may also find shuttle services at the airport. These are usually a lower cost, but they may take multiple families and make several stops along the way.
If you plan to have a late dinner or cocktail in
Disney Springs, I recommend stopping at your hotel first to drop off your luggage. If your room is not yet ready, you can leave your bags at Bell Services.
To stay updated on your check-in, you can use the
direct-to-room service on the
My Disney Experience app or
online. I love using this feature because I get updates welcoming me to my resort and letting me know when my room is ready. You can skip the Front Desk. And with a later arrival time, you may be able to take your luggage straight to your room before heading out to start your time in the magic.
Tracy, I hope this information helps you quickly finalize the last "to-dos" on your list. A little faith, trust and Pixie Dust!
