I am happy to report that Disney Cruise Line does offer
ground transfers between San Diego International Airport (SAN) and the Port of
San Diego on both embarkation and debarkation days for an additional fee. The current price is $18 per guest for a one-way transfer, but the exact price is always subject to change. If you are looking to add ground transportation just for embarkation day, then I recommend calling Disney Cruise Line directly at (800) 951-3532. Cast members are available to speak with you Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM EST, and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST. Just be sure to have both your cruise reservation number and your flight details available when you call.
Be aware that Disney Cruise Line’s ground transportation does not begin until 11:00 AM in San Diego, so you will have to wait for the shuttles to begin running if you have an earlier flight. Additionally, even though the airport and port are only approximately 3 miles apart, Disney Cruise Line still recommends that all guests arranging their own independent air travel to San Diego schedule a flight arrival time of no later than 1:00 PM. After you gather your luggage from baggage claim, be on the lookout for a Disney Cruise Line representative who can direct you to the shuttle to the port.
