We're flying in at 5PM on10/9 (my husband's birthday) and getting on a cruise on 10/10. Any suggestions on what to do for his birthday? I was thinking about staying at a downtown Disney hotel. He loves golf & baseball.

Greetings!  Thanks for stopping by with your question.  I just love celebrating birthdays at Walt Disney World, it makes them that much more special.

If your husband loves sports, why not make advanced dining reservations at the ESPN Club on the Walt Disney World Boardwalk for a late dinner?  It's such a great place for guys, my husband loves it.  There are over 100 television monitors throughout the place so wherever you go, you wont miss a moment of the big game - yes, even in the bathroom!  The food is great too.  I especially love the PB&J Burger - bacon, peanut butter and a creamy jalapeno jam.  It's such a great meal.  You can make reservation 180 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-DINE.  Other than a celebratory dinner, it doesn't seem like you'll have time to do too much else.  You'll want to get your rest before heading off on your cruise.  After dinner it would be fun to walk around the Boardwalk area.  There are some great treats to be had and maybe even a birthday margarita.

I hope this helps!  If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
