We are flying in and would like to pack as light as we can. Is there a Walmart or a store that sells diapers and baby food within walking distance of Port Orleans French Quarter? If not about how far of a cab ride is it?

Hey, Sean! I'll do you one better: order all your baby supplies from Diapers.com or Amazon.com and have them waiting for you when you arrive. Both sites offer free shipping after you reach a small threshold, which (coming from one father to another) is very easy to do when baby supplies are involved, right?!

We hit Diapers.com before a trip when our youngest was 6 months old. We purchased diapers, wipes, pre-made bottles, jars of baby food, sunscreen, etc. The list goes on.

Place your order so it will arrive one to two days in advance of your arrival, and populate the shipping label so it will look something like this:

    Port Orleans French Quarter
c/o Sean LASTNAME (Conf. # + Arrival Date)
    2201 Orleans Dr.
    Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Use the package tracking feature once you place your order to follow the progress of your package. Then, when it arrives, wait a few hours, and then call the resort at (407) 934-5000 to verify its arrival and confirm that the package has been synced up with your reservation.

When you check in at Port Orleans French Quarter the day of your arrival, the cast member will see a note on your reservation indicating that you have a package to pick up. They'll grab it for you, and then you can bring it to your room with you. Easy stuff!
