We will be flying out of Orlando to return home (sigh) at 1:45. Will we have time to catch a character breakfast before our flight? We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge and taking the Magical Express back to the airport.

The night before your departure, the hotel will put a Magical Express confirmation sheet under your hotel room door. This confirmation will tell you what time the ME bus will pick you up in front of your hotel. The vast majority of the time, this will be three hours prior to your departure flight. So, if your flight is at 1:45, then you could expect that the bus would call for you at about 10:45.

I think that if you had a character meal breakfast reserved in the Magic Kingdom or Magic Kingdom resorts area by about 8:30, then you could certainly make it back to the Wilderness Lodge in time to catch your bus. Some good choices would be Chef Mickey's, Ohana, 1900 Park Fare, or the Crystal Palace (assuming you didn't mind using a park admission day, otherwise I'd stick with the ones in the resorts). Most character meals take about an hour. You could get back to the Wilderness Lodge from any of these restaurants in under an hour.

To make things easier for yourself, I would completely vacate your hotel room before you left for breakfast. Take your luggage with you and leave it with the bell services desk at the entrance to the Wilderness Lodge. They will place your luggage in a secure area and give you a receipt. That way, when you're done with breakfast, you can just return to the Lodge, reclaim your bags right next to where the ME bus will pick you up, and you can be on your way.

    Have a great trip!
