Hi, flying out to Orlando Disney world for our first family holiday with the 2 kids aged 1 and 2 over Christmas and new year. Just wondering where best places to eat and try different food. Buffet style would be nice so u get whole selection to choose from

    Hi Andrew,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! What a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. You are asking about one of my favorite topics - food!

Our family adores the character meals at Walt Disney World Resort. Many of these are served buffet style. Some of our favorites are The Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, Tusker House and Hollywood & Vine. We love the breakfast buffets at The Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's. Dinner is fabulous at 1900 Park Fare and Tusker House.

Since we love dining our way around the Walt Disney World Resort, I suggest family style meals at Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show and 'Ohana. Breakfast at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is also quite good. On our last visit, we did a pre-park opening breakfast reservation there and then hopped in the stand-by line for Frozen Ever After. The wait was less that 10 minutes!

Other popular restaurants include Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom, Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort and The Garden Grill in Epcot. Be Our Guest serves quick-service for breakfast and lunch. We prefer dinner there but it is not a buffet. We also have enjoyed Coral Reef Restaurant in Epcot. Here you will love dining in view of the underwater world of The Seas with Nemo and Friends.

Andrew, with little ones, however, be aware that the characters may unnerve them. I trust that you know your little ones. They may be fine! Be sure to make dining reservations as restaurants book quickly!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
