We are flying to Orlando the day BEFORE our cruise on Magic. We have purchased DCL ground transfers, and the cruise packet tells us to attach cruise luggage tags prior to airport Checkin. Since we arrive a day earlier, do we still do this?

    Ahoy Margaret!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I always plan to arrive one day early when sailing with Disney Cruise Line, and I'm glad to hear you are scheduled to do the same next month! It will make the beginning of your vacation a lot less stressful! Since you are arriving the day prior to departure, you will want to hold off on attaching your Disney Cruise Line luggage tags. Once you arrive at the airport, you will head down to baggage claim to pick up your luggage. I'm not sure if you are staying at the Hyatt at the airport or another area hotel, but either way plan on attaching your luggage tags before you leave your hotel room the following morning. If you are staying at the Hyatt, be sure to let them know you are a Disney Cruise Line Guest upon check-in, and they will provide you with departure information and a luggage form to fill out. In the morning, you can either leave your luggage in your room to be picked up to be delivered to the ship (you do not need to be present for pick up) or take it with you to the motor coach (no need to fill out the luggage form if you are handling it yourself). Upon leaving the hotel, you will make your way to Disney's Magical Express located on Side B, Level 1. The Disney Cruise Line check-in is clearly marked. Be sure to have your Guest Travel Booklet with you because your transportation vouchers are included inside. Also, don't forget any other important documents and items you may need the first afternoon (medicine, sunscreen, bathing suits, etc). Transportation to the port typically begins as early as 9:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., but the motor coaches will be running all morning and early afternoon. The ride is usually about an hour long depending on traffic.
I'm so glad you stopped by with your question, Margaret! I know you are counting the days until you will be enjoying the warmer temperatures of Central Florida and the Bahamas!
    Have a magical day!
