We are flying in next month, and wanted to know how long of a trip is it to the resorts using the Disney buses? We want to book some fast passes for that day, but want to make sure we give enough time, to arrive at our hotel then park. We arrive at 11:00.

    Hi Susan,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Wow! Your trip is quickly approaching. How exciting!

I would recommend that you allot at least three hours from your flight arrival time to the time of your first Fast Pass+. Although your travel time to the resort hotel may not take more than an hour, delays can happen. We typically arrive early but I do not schedule a Fast Pass+ before 5:00 p.m. I leave such a wide time frame to allow for possible flight delays.

If you can, do online check-in with your resort hotel. I set up our online check-in to receive mobile alerts so that we know as soon as our room is ready. Our room has occasionally been ready before we arrived to the resort hotel. If you could check-in and unload your luggage prior to heading to the parks, that would be ideal.

Also, consider your advanced dining reservations. I have often done our first day Fast Pass+ selections in this order - one prior to dinner and two after dinner. Doing so gives us time to put our luggage in our room, unpack and head to the parks. Since we normally travel with royalty, our princesses have changed into their royal attire before heading to dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table!

Susan, be sure to download the My Disney Experience Mobile App if you have not done so already. We use it to check ride wait times when we are in between Fast Pass+ selections.

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs.
