We are flying in to MCO at 3:30pm and taking the ME to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Will we have enough time to get to the Hoop de doo Dinner?

You certainly don't want to start your first day of vacation with a lot of stress so plan carefully that first dining reservation.  As unpredictable as weather and other airline delays can be you might not want to start out with something that you will not be able to do again if you miss the time.

With that said if you still want to go for the Hoop De Doo that first night I would say definitely don't try for the early 5:00 p.m. reservation and maybe not even the 7:15 p.m. time slot.  Your best bet would be the 9:30 p.m. reservation time.  You have to consider flight delays, baggage delays, getting to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, checking into the room, then catching a bus to a theme park or Downtown Disney where you would then transfer to a Fort Wilderness bus.  It is a great show and hopefully you will be able to get a reservation that works for your family and your schedule!
