Hi there, Christian!
Welcome back to planDisney. It is great to hear from you again! John Wayne Airport is one of my preferred airports to fly into when visiting Disneyland Resort. It is fairly small, and more importantly, not too far from the theme parks, making it easy for your family to get to the magic faster!
The
Getting from the Airport to Disneyland Resort resource offers a few transportation ideas. Shuttles and taxicabs are typically available at the John Wayne Airport. If you take a taxicab, make sure to ask about a flat rate to get to your hotel! Rideshare services are usually available, as well. However, rideshare may not be the best option if you have a child who uses a car seat, as I was unsuccessful in finding rideshare options with car seats from that airport. You could always bring your own! Another possibility is Karmel Shuttle, who offer a variety of transportation services. They did not provide car seats the last time I checked, but you could call them to discuss your options.
I prefer using private car services that provide car seats when traveling with my children. Traveling with car seats can be a hassle! You could try posting in different social media groups to get transportation ideas if none of the above choices work for your family. I find many resources in my local moms' social media group!
Have you downloaded the
Disneyland mobile app yet? If not, now is the perfect time! You can view park maps, check wait times, see entertainment schedules, and more. I also purchase
Lightning Lane Multi Pass for most of my family's trips to Disneyland, where we can reserve times on the app to skip the standby lines on many attractions. It is a great time-saver!
Christian, have a wonderful visit to Disneyland Resort! We hope to see you real soon!
Happy holidays!
Jen
