I will be flying home on southwest airline out of Orlando international. Can I use airline check in at the resort for my luggage but find my own transportation back to airport( probably uber) to maximize our time at park?

Hello Brian, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question.

I am so excited to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this fall. No one looks forward to the end of a magical vacation, but I see that you are willing to squeeze every last bit of Pixie Dust into your trip.

I am pleased to tell you that you can use Resort Airline Check-In Service at your resort. A few things to keep in mind, regardless of when your flight is, you must check your bags before noon. This service is open from 5:00 a.m. to 12 noon. You are also responsible for getting your luggage to the Cast Members at Resort Airline Check-in. I usually contact Bell Services the night before to pick up my bags at my room. You may want them to come before you head out to a theme park for the day.

Lastly, you want to make sure that you give yourself enough time to get to the airport to board your flight. Most airlines recommend arriving 2-3 hours prior to your flight. You can also store your carry on bags with Bell Services at your resort, while you enjoy your day at the theme park. Just be sure to give yourself plenty of time to retrieve your belongings and get to the airport. Enjoy your trip and if you have any more questions, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
