Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sue!
Early morning is my favorite time to visit the theme parks of the Disneyland Resort. Usually, we can enjoy shorter
attraction wait times and a sense of anticipation for the magic that awaits us for the remainder of the day. Taking advantage of Magic Morning early admission benefits in Disneyland Park makes those mornings even more magical.
Magic Morning is available only at Disneyland Park on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for one extra hour before regular theme park opening time. The attractions available during Magic Morning and Extra Magic Hour (a similar early admission benefit available to guests of the Disneyland Resort Hotels) may vary from day to day. Attraction schedules are also subject to change without notice.
During Magic Morning, you will find select
attractions,
shops,
entertainment, and
dining locations available in three of the lands of Disneyland Park: Main Street, U.S.A., Tomorrowland, and Fantasyland. Generally, most of the attractions in those lands are available during Magic Morning. Though you may experience staggered starts to some attractions. In my experience, it is not uncommon for attractions such as the
Matterhorn Bobsleds and the
Disneyland Monorail to open slightly later than most attractions. My favorite attractions to enjoy during Magic Morning are
Space Mountain and Alice in Wonderland.
While you experience Magic Morning, rope barriers will be set up at the entrances to other lands that are not yet available. At the appointed hour for regular park opening, an announcement will be broadcast and the rope barriers will be removed. You will then be free to enjoy attractions in the other lands throughout the park, including the newest themed land in Disneyland Park:
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Tony’s Tip: Disneyland Resort theme park hours may vary from day to day. This may also impact the starting time for Magic Morning. Be sure to consult the daily park schedule for the latest information.
I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Sue! And I hope you stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel again with any more questions you may have.
