Hi Mike, and a warm sunny welcome back to planDisney!
It sounds like you’ve got a splash-tastic arrival planned, and I totally get wanting to make the most of that complimentary water park entry. I mean, who wouldn’t want to kick things off with a little lazy river magic?
Here’s the scoop: the
current water park benefit to Disney water park is a special perk for Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, but it’s valid only on your actual check-in day. So in your case, since you're arriving in Orlando in the afternoon, that complimentary water park ticket would be good for later that same day.
I checked the times for you, and
Blizzard Beach is scheduled to close at 6 p.m. that day. So, by the time you arrive, get to your resort, and make your way over, you might only have a couple of hours to enjoy the park. Do keep in mind that park hours and event schedules can shift, so I always recommend checking the
Hours & Events Calendar as your visit gets closer. It's the best way to stay in the know and avoid any surprises!
But here's a little tip from my own visits: the crowds tend to thin out as the day winds down, which means shorter waits and more chances to slide, splash, and repeat. You might be surprised how much fun you can squeeze in during those final few hours, and it’s a great way to set the tone for the rest of your magical stay.
That said, if you’re really set on a full-day water adventure, you can always buy a separate ticket for Monday and go all in. No reservations needed! Just show up, ready for wave pool vibes and sun-soaked smiles.
Let me know if you’d like help deciding how to make the most of either day. However you splash it, I hope your vacay starts off with a big ol’ splash of pixie dust!
See ya real soon,
Emille
