Hi Andrew!
Thanks for visiting planDisney ahead of your arrival this week! You are visiting Walt Disney World Resort at a fantastic time of year. The
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival is in full bloom featuring beautiful topiaries, delicious dishes, and enchanting entertainment. Also,
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park recently re-opened so it's the perfect time to take a ride on
Miss Adventure Falls or spend the day lounging on
Castaway Creek.
Andrew, the
7-day Disney Magic Ticket gives you plenty of time to experience so much magic at the Walt Disney World Resort. When you purchased your ticket, you were asked to choose a specific date to start your usage window and you have 15 days in which to use your 7-day ticket. This means that your tickets are date-based and, good news,
date-based tickets no longer require theme park reservations! This gives you the ultimate flexibility to choose what you want to do each day! While parks may sometimes reach a capacity closure, this is a very rare occurrence and typically is more likely to happen the final week of December and the first few days of January with peak holiday crowds.
If you have any days built into your visit that you aren't visiting the parks, you'll find plenty of fun around Walt Disney World Resort to keep you entertained.
Disney Springs is home to some fabulous dining and shopping options as well as the wonderful
Cirque du Soleil show, Drawn to Life. On a recent trip, my husband and I enjoyed challenging each other to a round of miniature golf at Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf which is located near
Disney's BoardWalk. After finishing our game, we made our way over to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for drinks at
Tambu Lounge, dinner at
'Ohana, and a view of the
Happily Ever After fireworks from the beach there - it was a wonderful way to spend the day!
Andrew, I hope this helps you finalize those last-minute plans for your trip this week! Please stop by and see us again here at planDisney if you have any other questions - we're all ears!
Cheers,
Kristi
