We are flying in for 7 days at DW, DS is 7 and DD is 3. I'm thinking of bringing our bulky stroller from home for them to take turns in, umbrella strollers are to short for my 6'4" DH to push. Is one stroller enough or should we rent a dbl stroller? c

    Hi Sheri!

First of all, I want to say that you are SMART to bring your stroller from home if your husband is tall.  I've seen many a Mom (or Dad) spend an entire vacation hunched over an umbrella stroller--that just cannot be comfortable!

I think you have a couple of options here, you can either bring the stroller from home or rent a double.  It really depends on your son.  If he is capable of walking quite a bit with a quick break here or there, he'd be fine sharing stroller time with your 3 year old.  I really think your daugther will be spending the bulk of her time in the stroller, as those little legs can find it hard to keep up.

Our oldest was 5 on our last trip and he spent a good amount of time out of the stroller walking around--I was actually very impressed with his stamina.  We also try to keep the kids well hydrated and provide protein-packed snacks to fuel all that walking.

    Have a magical vacation!
