Hi. We are flying in on the day we set sail (Dec. 2, 2010). What time do we need to arrive at Port Canaveral? I'm not sure what time to book our flight for and how long it takes to get there from the airport? Thank you for all you help.

    Hi Jody,

Great question!  Your cruise documentation will state that that check-in registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and that guests will start boarding at 1:00 p.m.  Personally, I like to get there early!  The ship is boarded based on your arrival time to port, as you are assigned a boarding number upon arrival and are permitted on the ship when your group number is called.  The earlier arrive, the lower number you receive.  I will also mention that Disney makes every attempt to start the boarding process earlier than 1:00 p.m.

Now after having a few close calls with weather and flight delays of my own, I recommend that you consider flying in the evening before.  We typically fly in the evening prior and book ourselves a room at airport hotel, I've been pretty lucky finding great deals on travel sites such as Hotwire.  You can still utilize the airport-to-port transfers the next morning, and you'll sleep well knowing you'll make it to the ship on time!

The travel time from Orlando International Airport to the terminal is approximately 60 minutes.

    Hope this helps!
