We are flying in the day prior to our cruise date and staying at the Orlando Airport Hyatt the night before we embark at Port Canaveral. Can we still use the Disney transportation from the Airport to the port? How would our luggage be handled then?

    Welcome aboard, Erika!

Disney actually partners with the Hyatt Regency at Orlando International Airport, so you'll have a really easy transition from land to sea and back again! Don't attach your Disney Cruise Line luggage tags to your luggage when you check it in for your flight, as you'll need to gather your own bags at baggage claim once you arrive in Orlando. Then, head upstairs to check into the Hyatt and enjoy a relaxing evening. If you want some Disney magic, they've got a wonderful Disney Store in the lobby of the airport (before security), so it'll be easy to pop down there to do a bit of browsing to get you in the Disney spirit for your cruise!

If you pre-book Ground Transfers with Disney Cruise Line, you can send your bags ahead to the ship the next morning, straight from the Hyatt! That's when you'll want to attach the DCL tags, before you send them out. It's so convenient when Disney partners with a resort, because you can let them take care of all of the details! They'll pick up your bags, but you'll want to keep a day bag with you with any necessities and perhaps a few snacks since you won't eat lunch until you're onboard the ship. Then, just make your way down to the Magical Express area of the airport, Side B, Level 1 of the airport, just downstairs from your hotel room. There, you can board the motor coaches that run on a continuous basis throughout the morning and early afternoon, and sit back and relax while you enjoy the hour long ride to Port Canaveral. The motorcoach ride is as much a part of our family's vacation as the cruise. My kids love the ride as they watch classic Disney cartoons and watch out the window to be the first ones to spot the ship!

Have fun planning your magical Disney Cruise Line adventure, Erika!
