We are flying in Christmas evening and staying at MCO. The following morning we have to be at Magic Kingdom by 8:30 for a reservation. What time does Magical Express start running and do they go directly to the parks?

Hi Jamie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Disney’s Magical Express is a really great service. I love that I don’t have to worry about catching a cab or renting a car when I vacation at Disney. Having the ability to sit back, relax, and let Disney do the driving makes for a stress free way to start out our holiday!

The holiday season is in my opinion the best time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. There are so many fun holiday activities and the decorations are just breathtaking. It is my understanding that Magical Express technically operates 24 hours a day. Normally guests who arrive between the hours of 5:00 A.M. – 10:00 P.M. on an airline will not have to grab their luggage from the luggage carousel. Guests arriving before 5:00 A.M. or after 10:00 P.M. will take their luggage on the Motorcoach with them. Generally you will be transported from the airport to your Resort hotel and not to a Theme Park. Once you arrive at your Resort hotel, you then can take advantage of Complimentary Resort Transportation to move within the Walt Disney World Resort.

Since you will be arriving the evening before you will be taking Disney’s Magical Express I recommend that you contact them and set up your reservations and departure time from Orlando International Airport. Lastly, one thing to keep in mind is since you have an early reservation, be sure to check Theme Park operating hours. Complimentary Resort Transportation begins operating approximately 45 minutes prior to Theme Park opening.

I hope that you have a magical Christmas holiday!
