We fly to Disney next week from the UK are planning the 4 Park Challenge for one day. We are planning on parking at MK so the car will there at the end, and heading over to AK for Park 1. What is the best way to get from MK to AK for AK Rope Drop please?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Jemma!

I’m SUPER excited to hear about your “4 park challenge for one day” adventure! I hope that you are successful AND that you have an absolutely marvelous time on this journey!

You will be parking your car at the Transportation and Ticket Center for access to Magic Kingdom, Jemma. This location has Monorail access to both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. Buses typically do not run between the theme parks until about 10:00AM (which is much after rope drop for Animal Kingdom) so we’re going to have to get a little creative!

    Here’s my suggestion for you:

-Park at Transportation and Ticket Center first thing in the morning
-Catch the Monorail to Magic Kingdom
-From Magic Kingdom, transfer to the Resort Monorail
-Get off at the first Resort Hotel (Disney’s Contemporary Resort)
-Catch a bus to Animal Kingdom for rope drop

This will be the easiest way for you to get from Transportation and Ticket Center to Animal Kingdom for rope drop, Jemma! I know it’s a little roundabout, but you should be just fine. Make sure to allot yourself about 45 minutes to an hour before you’d like to be at Animal Kingdom for this excursion. While you’re in Animal Kingdom, stop by Satu’li Canteen for a delicious meal for me, please!

If you have any additional questions, we sure hope you’ll visit us again at planDisney! We’re just a dream away!

Hello! I am Allyn, your personal planDisney companion! I’ve enjoyed most of my life in the heart of Wyoming but am currently living my fairy tale as a wife, mom, yoga instructor, and fine jewelry designer in central Florida! When I’m not galavanting around the Disney theme parks, you’ll probably find me reading a good book, outside playing with my family, or learning to do something new. I truly believe that dreams come true, and I look forward to sharing that magic with you!
