We are Florida winter residents. We own our own place in Lakeland, Fl. Are we eligible for residential discounts when we visit the parks? We are also interested in staying at a Disney property with our grand kids if the discount applies for us. Thanks for

    Hi Sandy!

A trip to Walt Disney World to see Cinderella Castle and princesses, fly with Peter Pan, and enjoy all the Mickey shaped food with your grandchildren would be practically perfect!

Living in the same state as Mickey does have its benefits. To qualify for Florida resident specially priced tickets and hotel rooms, you will need to provide proof of residency. A Florida drivers license or an official Florida state id-these must have a Florida residential address listed- will work. You may verify residency online with one of these types of identification.

You may also provide one of the following as long as it's dated within the last two months, shows a Florida address, and you produce an official picture id as well. A monthly mortgage statement, home insurance bill or policy, auto insurance bill or policy, utility bill, or mail from a financial institution or government entity are acceptable for proof of residency in the Sunshine State.

Enjoy your visit to Mickey with your grandchildren!
