Hi Emma! Welcome to planDisney!
I've always dreamed about planning a three-week holiday at the Walt Disney World Resort. A trip this long will allow you to explore every aspect, including the parks, resorts, and everything in between.
To answer your question, the timeframe you have to use your tickets will depend on how you booked them. If you purchase your
park tickets as part of a Disney package that includes your Disney Resorts Hotel, the start date will begin on your arrival day. As you mentioned, you'll have an 18-day window to use your 14-day Magic Ticket. If you book your resort for 21 nights, your ticket package will expire just a few days before checkout.
If you decide to
purchase your park ticket separately, then you can choose the start date of your ticket. You'll still have an 18-day window to use it, but if you don't plan to visit the parks the first couple of days, then you can select a date that works best for your plans.
Regardless of what you decide, you will have plenty of time to experience everything you want during your stay. When visiting for a long period, I always enjoy popping in and out of the parks as often as I want. There are some days that I prefer to relax at the resort, but still want to head over in the evening to catch
Happily Ever After at the Magic Kingdom. Normally, I would feel like I'm not utilizing my ticket to its maximum value, but with so many days to visit, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. With the Park Hopper Option included with Disney Magic Tickets, you can visit multiple parks each day if you prefer. The options are truly endless.
Emma, I hope you have a magical time during your holiday!
