We are Florida residents. I am planning/booking a trip to WDW for the 2012 holiday season. Sometimes there are hotel and ticket discounts available to Florida residents. If I book our trip now and put a deposit, can I still get those special offers?

    Hi Missy!

You can book a reservation now and then ask that any discounts that come out be applied to your reservation.  However, there's a difference on when your reservation can be changed depending on whether it is a room only or a package (room and tickets) reservation:
    • With a package (room and tickets) reservation, you can change or cancel your reservation without penalty up until 45 days in advance
    • With a room only reservation, you can change or cancel your reservation without penalty up until 5 days in advance

Thus it depends when the discount comes out compared to when you are going.  Also, Disney won't automatically apply any discounts.  You will have to keep your eyes and ears on the lookout, and then if a discount comes out, call Disney to have it applied.  Keep in mind that you are only allowed to have one discount applied to your reservation.

I hope this helps!  Enjoy planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and write back if you have any more questions!
