Hiya Johnny,
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question about your Florida Resident Passholder! As a fellow Florida resident for almost two decades, I have to say—there’s nothing quite like having The Most Magical Place on Earth right in our backyard. Whether it’s deciding to head to the parks on a whim for a few hours or planning a full weekend staycation, the convenience (and magic!) of living so close never gets old.
Now, let’s jump right into your question! To take advantage of
Florida Resident tickets or Annual Passes, each Guest using the offer must show
proof of Florida residency. Additional members of the same household may qualify, provided they provide proof of the same Florida residential address. However, Florida residents under the age of 18 aren’t required to show proof themselves—so long as the adult purchasing the ticket or pass is a verified Florida resident with valid proof of residency. Unfortunately, since your grandson is a non-resident, he would not be eligible for a Florida Resident ticket or pass.
While this may not be the exact answer you were hoping for, I do recommend keeping an eye on the
 Special Offers page on the
Walt Disney World website. Disney often releases limited-time deals and promotions—sometimes even seasonal discounts—that could apply to your grandson’s visit. The offers change frequently (like the seasons on Main Street), so it’s worth checking back often for any pixie-dusted savings!
Johnny, I hope this helps you plan a magical visit with your family. If you have any more questions, please stop by and visit us again.
See ya real soon,
Christina
