We are Florida residents and so were doing a day trip. When looking to make a dining reservation, I noticed that many openings are at restaurants inside Disney resorts. Can I make a reservation even though we do not have a reservation at a Disney property?

    Hi Karina!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Yes! You can absolutely make a reservation at one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotel restaurants. That would probably be my favorite part of living close to Orlando. I would love to be within driving distance to so many amazing places to eat that also give you a dose of the Disney-magic! You can make dining reservations online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463). These reservations can be made 180 days in advance and will require a credit card number for a hold.

As the mother of two teenage boys, you can imagine that dining is a huge part of our Walt Disney World vacations. I highly recommend 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. They are two of our favorites, plus you can hop on the monorail to get some great views of Magic Kingdom Park and the monorail resorts. Boma - Flavors of Africa and Sanaa, at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge are also amazing.

Now I'm hungry!  I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
