Do Florida Residents have to take Disney buses and trams to get to Disney World theme parks?

Hello there, Grant. Thanks for reaching out to us.

Some of my favorite rides at the resort aren't actually considered rides. There are so many modes of Walt Disney World Resort Transportation, and so many of them are great experiences in and of themselves. While I've always been a monorail guy, that Disney Skyliner has certainly shot up toward the top of my list. I just love those gondolas and how quickly they get you to and from Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT...not to mention the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels that are on the route as well!

Any Guest staying at one of the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels can use the monorails, buses, Disney Skyliner, or boats to get from their hotel to the theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort. In addition, Guests hopping between parks can also use these modes of transportation. However, you can also use your car to travel to the parks. Just note that currently, standard parking is included with a hotel stay, but Guests not staying at one of these hotels must pay for parking each day at the theme parks. The trams are simply to help Guests who have parked in the parking lots get from their cars to the entrance of the parks. You can choose to walk if you would rather. Now, some really cool ride vehicles are part of the attractions at the resort as well. Some of my absolute favorites are the lightcycles on TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise at Magic Kingdom Park. You just really feel like you're entering the Grid in one of the TRON movies, joining Team Blue, and racing against Team Orange to get through the 8 Energy Gates. It's just such a cool experience and the ride vehicles really elevate it. But of course, that's only one of the amazing ride vehicles that can be found all across the resort. What's your favorite?

Grant, enjoy your next visit to the resort, and be sure to reach out again if you have any other questions!
