Hi! We are Florida Residents and considering an annual pass. I wanted to know when does the pass become valid? Meaning, does the year start counting from date of purchase or date of first use? Thanks

    Hi Flavia,

How awesome that you are considering a Florida resident annual pass! The ability to visit Walt Disney World frequently at a discounted price is a huge bonus of living in Florida. We've been passholders for 20 years and can't imagine being life without regular Disney visits.

You can purchase your annual pass online and take advantage of the monthly payment program available only to Florida residents. You can go ahead and link the passes to your My Disney Experience account and begin making discounted resort reservations and, when it's time, FastPass+ choices.

Your official start date, however, will not be until you use your pass for the first time to enter a park. They will be good for one year from first use.

To validate the passes on your initial visit, you will need to stop by a Guest Relations location or a ticket window. Each adult in your party will need to show proof of Florida residence. The process takes just a few minutes, and you'll be on your way to a year of Walt Disney World fun.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Flavia. Several of us are Florida resident annual passholders, so please check back again if you have any questions about the discounts and benefits of being a passholder. Enjoy!
