Hello- what are florida resident rates for polynesian and contemporary hotels for 2nd week in December

    Hi Lisa,

Welcome back to planDisney! It's always a pleasure to help a fellow Floridian plan a Walt Disney World getaway.

As you know, Walt Disney World often offers special Florida resident rates for Disney Resort Collection hotels. The current Florida resident special offer extends through July 29, 2026. If there are discounts for the winter/holiday season, I would expect those to be announced by mid-summer. You can keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for details.

Meanwhile, if you don't want to wait to make a reservation, you can go ahead and book your room at the standard rate. Then, if a Florida resident discount is announced, you can modify your reservation to the lower cost.

I've done this a number of times, either online in my My Disney Experience account, or by calling the Ticket and Hotel Reservations line.

Early December, in my opinion, is one of the best times for a visit. You can spend time resort-hopping to take in all the amazing Christmas trees and gingerbread creations. The theme parks are decked out in their holiday finery. You can enjoy special activities, such as the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights.

Plus, you'll take advantage of a lull in visitors between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Thanks for dropping by with your question, Lisa. Please come back any time if we can help you with your plans for your December vacation.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
