Hi Meir, welcome to planDisney!
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay, my oh my what a wonderful day to plan a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I say that every day, according to my husband, but only because I truly believe it! There are a lot of pieces that go into a Disney vacation puzzle, so let's get started.
Congratulations on making your ticket purchase. The next step is to link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account. You can do this online by doing the following:
1. Create or log into your
My Disney Experience account.
2.
Enter the ID Number found on your tickets and click "Next."
3. Assign each ticket to a member of your
Family and Friends list or create a new Guest profile for each person. Note that you are the only one who can manage plans for Guests whose profiles you create. If you create and manage a profile for any individual that has or decides to have their own My Disney Experience account, you can share planning with them by selecting "Update" by their name in your Family and Friends list and clicking "Share Planning with ____." You then enter their email address, which will send them an email invitation to connect. Once the invitation is accepted, any plans you have created for them will merge with their My Disney Experience account.
Once your tickets are linked in My Disney Experience, it's time to make
Park Pass reservations. Start by checking the
theme park availability calendar to make sure you know what parks are available each day. April currently shows availability at all parks each day in April, though I encourage you to book soon as many March dates are already starting to fill up. When making park pass reservations for your party, select "Theme Park Tickets" and you will be asked to select the members of your Family and Friends list for which you wish to make park pass reservations. You'll then select the date and the park you wish to reserve. Once confirmed, you can click "Make Another Park Pass" to make your next reservation. All park pass reservations will appear on your My Disney Experience planning page
online as well as in the
My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the home screen --> Future Plans).
Once your tickets and park pass reservations are linked in My Disney Experience, you'll be able to book your first
Genie+ Lightning Lane attraction beginning at 7:00 a.m. in the My Disney Experience app each park day. That's right, you will not be able to book a Lightning Lane arrival time in advance of your park days. You can, however, select your top picks, interests, as well as height requirements and/or accessibility considerations in advance by clicking "Get Started" by the Genie lamp on your app's home screen. This allows Disney Genie service to customize your Tip Board and make personalized recommendations for your park days.
I know this is a lot, Meir. Please don't hesitate to
reach out with follow-up questions or for clarification about any of these important Disney planning steps.
Wonderful feeling, wonderful day!
