1: The Florida Resident packages--except for the season passes-- expire May 21. My family (party of 9) are coming December 24. Do you think there will be new Florida Resident package deals at that time? 2: are there payment plans?

    Hi there, Robert!

A Florida Resident myself, I always love knowing what Disney has its store for its local fans.

Right now, the current promotion for Florida Residents is the Wild for 3 Pass! ticket sale, in addition to the regular Passholder and Florida Resident discounts we receive on room-only bookings through the Walt Disney World Travel Company.

As you point out, the Wild for 3 promotion ends in May.

Thus far, nothing has rolled out for Florida Resident discounts beyond June; there is a room-only special that will save a percentage off the rack rates for the Resorts with proof of Florida residency. The stay dates are from 3/9/12 through 6/14/12, and the booking code is P7L.

You'll want to keep checking the Florida Resident section of the Walt Disney World site for more details as the date draws closer; Disney does like to give us plenty of warning, so deals, should there be any at holiday time, will likely be released between June and August. Holiday time is usually one of Disney's busiest travel seasons, so the likelihood of significant specials around Christmas is small, but not at all out of the question. Just make sure to check back regularly.

And if there is anything I can do to help your travel party as the date draws closer, drop me a line.

    Happy planning!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
