If I am a Florida resident on a monthly plan will my annual pass be automatically charged for a renewal? If so how do I opt out of automatic renewal?

    Hey There, Dianne!

I'm so glad you've found your way to planDisney –– thanks for stopping by with your question.  There's nothing that makes me feel like an official Mousketeer quite like being a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder.  Not only do we get to enjoy an entire year of magic in Walt Disney World theme parks, but with dining and shopping discounts, special attraction preview opportunities, exclusive merchandise, and so much more, it feels like we're getting an extra sprinkle of pixie dust with every visit.  I hope you've enjoyed your year as a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder and I'm happy to share a few details about the renewal process as your expiration date approaches.

Although you have the option to make automatic monthly payments toward your Annual Pass as a Florida resident, your Pass won't automatically renew once your year is up.  If you'd like to renew, there are three ways to do so: you can renew online using the Walt Disney World Resort website, you can visit any Walt Disney World theme park ticket window or Guest Relations location, or you can renew over the phone by calling (407) 560-7277.  At that time, you'll be able to choose the monthly payment option again, if that works best for you.  And remember, your Walt Disney World Annual Pass can be renewed up to 60 days before and 30 days after it expires.  This means if you decide you're missing all your Passholder benefits after your Pass expires, you'll have a little bit of time to renew that expired Annual Pass at the special renewal rate.

There's another great benefit of Walt Disney World Annual Pass renewal that I'd like to share with you –– when it's time to renew your Pass, you'll have the option to renew into any eligible Annual Pass tier, even if it's different than your previous pass.  As a Florida resident, this means that all four of the Annual Pass tiers will be available to you.  Since sales of most new Annual Passes are paused at this time (with the exception of the Disney Pixie Dust Pass), this is a great opportunity to look at your options and choose the Pass tier that works best for you, even if that level isn't currently available to purchase for new Passholders.  If you're still considering your Annual Pass renewal, I definitely recommend looking through the benefits of each Pass type to find the perfect fit.

Thanks for visiting planDisney, Dianne.  If you think of new questions as you plan your next Walt Disney World Resort visit, I hope you'll stop by again –– we're always happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
    Amy
